In our daily lives we live as drones, detached from our innermost souls. We run all day long without a real purpose, and our daily actions – eating, shopping, travelling, working – are often done mechanically. Turi Calafato’s work explores this loneliness and detachment. The view through a window of a big corporation is a deliberate choice – it exists in almost every city in the world, and the seats of this eatery are single – what should be a communal act, is reduced to a solitary action (as are many other moments of our lives). © All photos courtesy of Turi Calafato
