FAQS – RULES, USAGE AND COPYRIGHT
Read our rules in full and find out about how we use your images.
Yes. Life Framer respects your rights and does not claim copyright for works you submit to the award. You will retain full copyright in each image you submit, with us granted a licence to use the image for specific purposes (e.g. publishing on our social media and website if you are a winner, printing one copy for our winners’ exhibitions). After submitting to Life Framer, you can continue to use your images however you wish – submitting them to other awards, selling prints of them online etc.
We do not sell usage rights to your images or use them to train AI algorithms. For more details, please read our full rules.
The rules can be found here. We have a strict no rights-grabbing policy (i.e. you retain full copyright in the images you submit), and the rest is fairly straightforward, but please do read them before entering.
When you submit to Life Framer, you grant us a licence to use your image in connection with the award including:
- Judging the competition
- Displaying on our website and social media outlet, and those of our partners
- Displaying at the gallery exhibitions
- Using on posters, postcards and any other materials used to promote our exhibitions, and adverts both online and offline to promote the Award, including in a cropped or re-sized format as necessary to fit pre-defined formats
- Sub-licensing (at no cost) to press outlets for use in connection with the Award
- Inclusion within any materials promoting the Award or any exhibition organised by Life Framer
- Inclusion in a book, magazine or exhibition catalogue, or similar
We do not sell your images, use them to train AI algorithms, or for any other purpose not listed above.
