Having lived in Doha (Qatar) since early 2014, my interest gradually evolved towards the documentation of the Qatar behind the glamorous facades. This is my ongoing project of the urban and rural Qatar not generally seen by, or accessible to passing visitors - the charming, rustic and sometimes harsh realities of life in a rather hostile desert region. This is the results of my efforts to find beauty in the mundane and banal. For me there is abundant charm and beauty to be found in this rustic, harsh environment.
