Holidays - The wait

Holidays are something people wait for with great expectation and many look forward to sharing their holiday album with parents and friends once back. This project focuses on that very moment just before departure, which sometimes is not thought about but which is very interesting being loaded with peculiar human dynamics.

Floriana Avellino

Self-taught photographer from Monza, Northern Italy. She has always been passionate about photography, long before owing a camera. Her approach to photography is rooted in cross-genre experimentalism often lying in minimalism and abstraction which are particularly effective in interpreting photography not much as a way of documenting reality but as a reflection about reality itself both on a personal and universal level
All along her lively activity Floriana received recognition at several international awards, such as Chromatic, Creative, Fine Art, Minimalist, Monovision and the International Photography Awards. Her work has been exhibited during several events such as Venicephotolab 2022, LoosenArt Minimalist exhibition and Salerno Art Festival in 2022, the street Photography exhibition held by the Glasgow Gallery of Photography and the collective contemporary photography exhibition held by Margutta Gallery in Rome in 2023. Floriana is also present with her projects on photographic websites and magazines like Life Framer collection, Spectaculum Magazine, Artdoc Magazine, Mass Magazine and Meaningful Platform
