Living in the battle against Covid-19

These photos were taken in Anhui, China. I tried to document how the virus impacted everyday life. We lived with loneliness, fear, as well as constant surveillance.

For my whole life, I have been living in a small town in Anhui, China. My camera tries to stay true to men and women living in this country that I know of. Things change, if too quickly - the commercialization of everything, the expansive urbanization which has made farmers live in skyscrapers. Something will never change. Such as craze for wealth and power. Such as those who were left in the margin dealing with a further marginalization. Humanities are only absurd in the dilemma between the changing and unchanging. Those are what my camera tries to deliver.
