Unnudes
This all started after a hot shower, a bathroom pic and a terrible miscommunication. I saw the way my body was trying desperately to release heat fascinating, so I composed image highlighting the bulging veins and sent it. My peers were appalled and terribly confused replying, “Aimee! Why are YOU sending us a dic pic?!” Let me clarify the situation with some context. My peers were mostly appalled, not at the assumed penis image, but that I, their only practicing christian friend, had sent it to them. I don’t have a penis, nor did I send a “dic pic,” however, I did send them a stylized photograph of my neck, with the veins bulging along the length. I nearly died from embarrassment due to the miscommunication. So with yet another blunder on my record of blush worthy miscommunications, I decided to explore how acceptable body parts could be mistaken for those parts of the body traditionally reserved for nudes & private encounters. When experiencing these images please allow yourself to engage with them twofold. The first should be your initial reaction based on prior knowledge. The second should be in the critical analysis as to what part(s) of the body are actually being shown.
