From the 3rd to 14th July 2018, Life Framer and Studio Hans Lucas present “Je n’attendrai pas que l’on me pardonne” – a contemporary photography exhibition located at 13-21 rue des Arènes. The title for the exhibition (which translates as “I will not wait until I am forgiven”), is taken from the lyrics to the song “La Ficelle” by Alain Bashung. The exhibition was curated by Wilfrid Estève, Amandine Besacier and Life Framer.

The exhibition places forgiveness in a more philosophical than religious context, and offers a reflection on modern society. It evokes emancipation and inequality… But beyond these notions and the fact that forgiveness is not enough to sustain life together, we approach the question of the search for the truth in relation to what is happening in the modern world. The truth, but according to what reality?
